The Club began as a gentleman's club in 1906. Then a working men's club, now it is open to women and has many women members. The Club has a wonderful old building, with many original fittings. Facilities include jukebox, billiards, pool, darts, cards and indoor bowls.  Meals are available every Wednesday on Members night.  Snacks and bar meals are available at other times.  Members' happy Hours, raffles, housie and tombola are ongoing events.  EFTPOS avaliable at bar.  Motorhome parkover, bed and breakfast and accomodation are all within walking distance.  All afflilliated members and guests are welcome.  Bus groups catered for by prior arrangement. Members can enjoy a quiet drink and a game of pool in good company. Around 200 members.

Eketahuna Health Centre is an innovative health initiative that services the town and districts. A nurse is available to give advice and for consultations. Dr Wilson or Dr Keall from Pahiatua hold a clinic each Tuesday morning.
Some of the Health Centre services include: weight clinic, nutrition information, diet advice, blood pressure monitoring, heart disease prevention, diabetes prevention and monitoring, visiting physiotherapist, visiting podiatrist, visiting counsellor, rooms for hire (negotiable, depending on group rates).
Any health related problem or enquiry, please feel free to ring the nurses in confidence.
The Health Centre is run by a trust who meet monthly.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

Ladies become a member of NZ Women's Institute, the biggest women's organisation in New Zealand.  Come along to our meeting and enjoy friendship and fellowship and/or the skills of homemaking (cooking, knitting, craft and floral).  Our institutes in and around this area (Bush Federation) are Rongokokako, Nireaha, Pahiatua, Mangamutu, Mangatainoka and Ngawapurua hold meetings monthly and if necessary transport can be arranged.

North Wairarapa Pony Club, Alfredton Branch

Fees: $35 riding members, $15 non-riding members.
Pony club caters for under 25 year olds interested in horses and riding. The pony club programme includes horse care, safety, riding skills, games, eventing, dressage, show jumping, speakers, trips and camps, there are a series of certificates to work towards. Rallies are usually every fortnight either at Alfredton Domain or McGhies on High Street.
You do not have to have a pony to be involved. Parents are encouraged to assist when possible, training is available.
